Folks, it is obvious that he does NOT have the same cruise control that we do. None of us have a button on the end of a lever that sets the current speed, do we? But he does.

He's clearly got a non-USDM car, which should be obvious because it's RHD. So further explainations of how our cruise control buttons work will be of no value to him.

i guess it would help if he had specified year and had posted some pictures.

regardless, i find that i have rarely if ever engaged the cruised control function, it's an irrelevant piece of apparatus and a complete drag on weight. I'm ripping it out right at this moment as I type, off with that electrical witchery.

cruise makes this irrelevant, and that's a no-no for me.

I have a completely dedicated track car, and I still am glad to have the cruise control. In fact, maybe that's why. I'm perfectly happy to just drop the thing into cruise for a few hundred miles while I'm driving to or from the track at 5-over-the-limit with worrying about "" on the highway. I'll get all the endorphins I need out on the track.

It's the cancel. Pretty sure.

My 05 has three buttons, but my buddy's 02 doesn't. My center button is cancel, whereas he has to hit both of his to cancel.

Likewise, if i hit both my accel and decel at the same time, it sill cancel - so I'm assuming the cancel button just makes it less confusing than the old two button system.
