A heavier flywheel "smoothens" the power delivery in the low end, but it does not in any way increase torque. It does, however, reduce power to the wheels.
^ i have never heard of a lightweight flywheel that is engineered properly creating a loss of power. i don't think it has anything to do with increasing or decreasing power at all, for that matter, since it is only lightening up the rotating mass of the motor (reducing parasitic drag therefore freeing up some lost power, perhaps instead?). rev's will be quicker on both acceleration and deceleration which is good.

I have the 8.6 lb ACT flywheel (stock clutch and PP), I wouldn't have it any other way. I came from the 22 lb garbage truck flywheel and it honestly isn't any harder to drive for me. The only issue is you have to either shift very quickly or blip the throttle a bit between gears to shift without jerking due to the quicker pace that the revs drop at.
I really dont want to have that feeling when I drive. Maybe I'll just re-use my oem ap1 flywheel or go with the sos 11.5 lbs flywheel.

I'm sure your factory flywheel is fine. Might need a resurface but thats probably it. When I put in the toda I did it because I had to because of the ACT clutch coming apart on me it wrecked my factory flywheel and I didn't feel like buying a stock replacement if it was all apart anyways.
