Source of rodent smell
You may have to check the undersides of the seats to see if Mr Rodent decided to nest in there. After that, put a blanket on the sill, and on your back, with flashlight or headlight, look all under the dash, both side, to see if one of them nested/died up there. They love eating wire insulation.
If you find nothing, it is possible they are in the console. After that, pop the door panels to see if they are nesting inside the doors.

I'm experiencing a strong almost overpowering rodent smell in my 2003 S2000 that is likely a mouse nest or mouse urine or worse. I'm unable to find the source and wondered if others having experienced similar invasions have determined the likely location of the deposit from which the smell is emanating? Both actual experience and likely suspicions will be helpful. Thank you.

Open the hood and find the running wheel, and give the little guy a good hosing off, to reduce the odor. If you want to really clean it out, a gentle bath and towel, then let air dry, and then place back in. Feel free to offer a carrot for a nice hp boost.
Get a few cats.... i had one nest under the cowl during the winter. The stink was over powering
Its almost impossible to get the odor out, i tried everything from Lysol to odaban. 2 yrs later it
still lingers. Im going to have the interior Ozoned when i get time.

If you really want to find it, pull the seats and start pulling the panels behind the seats and remove the entire trunk liner and panels - it's not hard to do and doesn't take much time. There's lots of places for critters to hide/nest in those areas. Also, did you CHANGE the cabin filter? Or just check it? I would change it out to be sure it's not an odor in the filter itself, even if it looked clean.
