Mine is out. I can all a bunch of people who could go to my house and bring me the spare in <30 mins. No sense unless you're making a long trip across the states.

Besides, it's the best place for an amp

i about took it out, got busy and just put my mini compressor in the trunk with the tire, 4 hours later at a new restaurant by a construction site had 2 screws in my front tire. thankfully i left it in that day, i was 2 hours from home visiting family. no one to bring the spare that far away.

I believe in most Provinces and States it's illegal to remove the spare? I've seen this discussed before on other car forums. Some people who do remove the spare will instead carry a can of tire sealant foam which DOES work (I've used it on my motorcycle before), but most shops will charge you extra because it gets pretty messy inside.

Honestly, unless you're autoXing, you don't need to lose that extra poundage. Heck, hit the gym and lose some weight there!

You have to use the spare on the front, and with the car lowered, the front bumper would be scraping the ground, so the spare tire is totally useless. I carry a cell phone instead of a spare tire.
