The TSB lists the affected VINs as 2T000001 to 2T006983. My VIN is also 2T8xxxxx so I thought I was unaffected. Maybe that the 8 is for Canada then we would have to wait for a Canadian TSB???? My dealer had no clue about this and said that there was nothing he could do until the TSB was released in Canada.

Time to call Honda Canada....

Yeah, guys, remember the TSB was written for US cars.

I'm positive that VIN 6983 is very, very recent (if it's even arrived from the factory yet). Unless you're a brand new owner, you couldn't have a car after this VIN. Looks like Matrix posted Canada explanation... Keep us posted on what Honda Canada does.

I emailed my local service dept. the evening of the 10th.
The service mgr. called me the morning of the 11th. She wondered where I got this info. as their TSB had just come in the night before.
She called me back within an hour to advise a "kit" was coming in from Atlanta by Wed. and she has me scheduled for the "fix" on Thursday, the 18th.

When did people start getting their notices from AHM? I still haven't received anything yet and would expect to since my MY2000 VIN is 6656.

I was in dropping my car off for service on Friday morning and talked to my service advisor and tech about the TSB. I told them I was in no hurry and knew they wouldn't have the parts right away, etc. When I came back to pick my car up, the tech said that he wasn't able to order the spark plug kit yet, although there was a part number.

Today I got a call from the dealer that my spark plug kit was in, and I'm scheduled to go back Saturday to have the work done. I'll let you know how it goes.

My dealer said If I got a letter from AHM then I could come in and they had no parts as of now. They also said my check engine light would come on if I had problems?!? I am in that number series but from past experience letters take a long time to come.
