By the time your CEL comes on due to a spark plug that's about to fallout, your car is in BIG "DO-DO"!

I spoke to my Stealership, they are aware of the tsb but have no parts or any other info besides being aware of the tsb.

I just realized that using the extension (to reach the plugs) on a torque wrench will actually skew the settings and probably put more torque on the plug that you mean to. Does anyone agree? Or know how to compensiate for the extension?

RE: the extension thing. As "Prolene" just said, this is NOT an issue - too insignificant (and probably too anal) to worry about. An extension, I would think, would do the opposite of what you would say. It would make it such that you would NOT put enough torque on something. Take a look at the torque rods used on impact wrenches. These limit the amount of torque the wrench can impart.

Ok I had to chime back in... I called the Assitant Service Manager down here in miami her name is Charity Fernandez @ Braman Honda, VERY NICE. She helped me take the Spring Spacers out the original dealer I purchased the car from didn't take out. Didn't even think twice just said bring it on down. I always use to take my Civic there so I had decided to call her for that too... So today I gave her a ring again about the Spark plugs. She didn't answer the phone but i left her a message basically stating that I was curious regarding the service bulletin and that I wanted to know if my car fit the criteria. I left my name, info and phone #. I would say that no less than 1/2 hr later I got a call back from her saying she looked into the information said my car DID fit the criteria and that I need to first receive my letter for Honda. Once I got my letter to give her another call and see if she has the parts in, because right now she doesn't have 'em in. She said once she has 'em it would be no problem to get them done there. I told her thank you VERY MUCH, and of course I was really happy that she called me back so quickly and gave me great info. OK thats it... Just wanted to let you know what they told me.

Folks,

Follow Matrix's link above to see the Canada version of the TSB. That's probably the same plug we'll get in the US.

Great work, Matrix!

Thought I'd put in my .02 update.
Service Mgr. @ Hendrick Honda called me Wed. to advise the "kit" still not in.
She called me back an hour later with "disturbing news", her statement, not mine.
Apparently, AHM has initiated some sort of allocation of the kits based on the size of the dealership, aka, how a good number of us actually were able to order our MY 2000.
She was obviously not happy with this news but did advise that I was still first on her list when the kits came in.
I will post further as things progress.
