Alz, there is some debate about your post. The plug has an "S" (I think) at the end of it which may imply a new locking ring. I don't know for certain; no one has posted a picture of the part in the US to make a comparison. If it is different, then the current stock of plugs will not do the trick and supply will indeed be an issue.

Yes, the sticker for the manual is to change the torque rating and the part number.

I just double checked my VIN and mine is actually outside of the VINs covered by this TSB...I am guessing that all vehicles after 06983 will already have this done.

Triple H, ours were ordered and manufactured close to the same time, did you check your VIN?

Please do that and get back to us here, Alz. THANKS! We're all curious (OK, I should speak for myself... I'm curious for sure)

I too would like to know if the gasket is changed or not. I think xviper reported that he'd retorqued his stock plugs several times and had them back off on him even at higher torque. I think that's why I expect that it's more than just tightening the existing plugs.

Best wishes.

I don't know what the problem is the gasket or the plugs but I am wondering if this isn't the nature of the engine. I mean this thing spins at 9000rpm, serious harmonic and vibrations occur, something has got to give. Perhaps it is the nature for the plugs to loosen after a while, we just need to tighten them down every half a year like xviper

I ordered mine in Nov. and it was delivered in April. Double check your first number after the T.

An 8 is after the T, but I though that isn't part of the # range since it is like a constant for an option or something like that.

I seem to remember that the 8 means it was made for Canada.
