An '01 Spa Yellow is having $7500 in repairs done after it sucked in water from an AEM CAI too! I'll try and take some pics!
My dealer sucks!! I have finally come to that conclusion. I JUST called my dealer. He first asked me if I bought my car from there. Oh yes. Oh, so you are calling about the spark plugs. You got it buddy. Well, we don't have them yet, call back in a MONTH!! He then goes on to say he doesn't think anybody will get them quickly. Now I have to call other dealerships in my area and see what they say. I hate this crap.
Oh, and if you're wondering, my dealer is Open Road Honda in Edison, NJ. The dealer that says they sell S2000s for MSRP but good luck finding one for MSRP on their showroom floor.

I called my dealer last week, before I got my letter Saturday. Service dept. didn't know what the heck I was talking about. They sent me to the parts manager and she (yes SHE) knew all about it, said they had the plugs in stock and "bring it on in". At least some people have their heads on their shoulders and not you-know-where.
Got my letter today and called to make an appointment to have the plugs replaced. The dealership said that AHM had not released the parts yet and didn't know when they would be able to get them. It seems stupid to send these letters before the parts are available.
Had mine done today at Lundgren Honda in Auburn, MA.
Don't bother to go there (it was my first trip back since I bought the car from them in May.)
I called for the appointment last Thursday and verified they had the kit. But sumthin' was hinckey about the way the guy talked on the phone, so yesterday I called to confirm the appointment, and guess what...no record. They decided to "squeeze me in" anyway today.
I arrived to a service writer who had no idea about the recall. After they did it, she told me the mechanic hadn't updated the manual because they didn't have the part (he did, of course, since the labels are in the kit) and she apologized for something -- I am still not sure what -- since "she no longer has direct control over the way work is dispatched in the shop." She also told me they don't do a lot of S2000 work. Oh, and she couldn't get the torque specs since the "computer went down in the middle" of her looking up the recall. She "hoped the mechanic" had written it down.
Great car, crappy dealer.
Confidence inspiring, eh?
