Speed
145mph. Stock MY 00. Top and windows up and no accessories on. Climbed strong to 125, ok to 138 when I went into 6th, and slowly from there to 145. didn't feel like it had much more left in it...
147mph on I-90 going to Chicago from Madison with top down, windows down and 200lbs fatty as a passenger. Chaos in the cabin with all the wind drafting. Pretty crazy stunt I pulled considering that I-90 has somewhat high number of cops and I had no radar detector at that time. I wish I had a camera or camcorder with me, I don't think I will do it ever again on public roads.
Oh, that was with MY01, never went higher than 115 with MY04.

146 mph in an open road 8:00 pm,Top up,windows up,no spare tire tools,Invidia exhaust ,4 bars left in my fuel tank,no passenger, the car felt strong.Proof?..no proof, but its useless lying especially if the car is capable of doing more than that
Car accelerated strongly from 80 in 4th and shifted at 100 into 5th, accelerated to 130 in 5th, shifted and then probably about two miles to hit top speed- top up, windows up, no A/C on. Miles go by quickly even at 130MPH - like less than 30 seconds/mile. Was too busy watching for animals, cops, etc. to be worried about the odometer! First and last time on the highway - NO traffic for miles - early morning. Radar detector on but probably its only use would be to keep me out of jail! You can only slow down just so quickly from 150+! 130 in 5th was easy - the other 20MPH? Not so easy, but it was there. Car is pure stock - 6K on the odometer

The S2000 takes so damn long to gain speed after 100 -- at least compared to some of my other toys -- that I don't see the point, you are just risking your own kneck and others.

Really.....mine pulls VERY well till 115 (although not as fast as your TT im sure)...which is the top of 4th, and pretty decent till 131 or so.

The car pulls great from 1st - 4th gear (about 115mph). Then once in fifth, it climbs to 125mph fairly quickly and really begins to slow down at 130-133mph. In order to go faster, you would need A LOT of room, since it barely gains speed once past the 135mph mark.
So I still don't see people hitting these speeds they claim. It would take about 5-10 extra miles to do that, unless you're going downhill.
I've been to 133-135mph many times on many roads, and I don't see it going much more than that without plenty of room and some extra help (some downhill action). Of course, I've always done this with the top down, but even with the top up, it still slows once you are in the 130's.
