There is a 40km stretch of Autobahn between home and work that I normally can get good speed on, especially at night without much traffic. Once I tried flooring it the whole way with the top down, windows up, windscreen up. Best speed was 235kmh. Top down windows down and it was closer to 225kmh. Aero plays a big role at these speeds, and with the top up it's much easier to break 250+.

having the top up is a must for top speed runs. i think the manual says 137mph with the top down and 144 with the top up.

i've done ~142-143 with the top up. let off the gas because i saw tail lights ahead.

I can't prove this but i know it to be fact b/c i was in my friend 01 S2k the nite he decided to push it to the limits and despite the fact it took a good while, i positive he got it up around the 145+ range. I know it was higher than my top speed in my SC400 which i top out at around 142 (it had a lil more but i ran out of road). After he shifted it into 6th, the car lost a lil control and the back slide out jus enough to scare the piss out of us but he kept pushing down on the accelerator. Also it was real late at nite on a long stretch of highway and he had the top up, he weights about 170 and i'm at 150, car completely stock.

Are you F.I.?..i dont know man,not saying its ,but with a top down it'll take more than just simple bolt ons to hit that number,Most ive done w/ a top down was 105 mph and the car really had a hard time after 90 mph..
