speeding ticket help!!!!!
Interesting, but limited perspective you have there Jimmy. I'm not bragging, but I have been cited more than 14 times-although nothing in the past five years. I have never lost a traffic case when using a lawyer. This includes a DUI and an eluding. Paying the ticket is the last thing you want to do. As I said, insurance will rape you. At eighteen, with an S2K, his rates could easily double.
Nin009,
How did you get cited so many times?
Dayum.
Anyway, I wen to court on the first ticket and since I'm in a small town, the cop and the judge worked together to bust out tickets. THe cop was lysing but the judge just pretended like nothing happened. So, I had it delayed several times before the last trial, and it took a total of 4 months before it was settled. I spent countless hours and ended up paying the same amount as I would have if I paid it right out. So, that's why I suggest the easy way out... bite it and slow down the driving.
However, if you have the money to pay a lawyer, by all means, go for it. It'll save you on insurance.. that I agree.
I guess it's different for each individual... some see lower insurance rate and a laywer more inportant.. some see time more important...
Anyway, not arguing.. just pointing out eveyrone has different opinion. Also, it's not a "limited perspective." It's the fast way out of the mess.
Take care. Oh, and stop getting urself cited man!
