I Just instilled the SPOON's muffler on friday morning
it's a single pipe one , but it's for racing
the sound has no difference with a racing car
when the Vtec is activating, the sound is like thunder storm
very very loud

I really love the muffler...............HOWEVER
my engine check light is complaining now due to the low preasure in pipe

Anyone has solution to turn off the light(beside cut it out)
please tell me thanks

I assume you replaced the cat with the straight pipe that comes with the Spoon Muffler??
If that is so, you can't do anything about the check engine warning light. If I were you I will put the catalytic converter right back and reset the ECU.
With the check engine light on, you may not notice immediate performance decline but soon your car will run like a crap and vtec will not engage and on top of that since you are running catless you car will guzzle away gas like you wouldn't believe.
If you really want to keep your catless set-up, I suggest you get the Mugen ECU which is great but at $1500 or pay little less and try with Spoon's which only one member that I know have tried but failed.
Don't delay putting the cat back soon..

Randy,
Can you please elaborate on your statements about poorer performance and gas mileage cat-less? I'm under the impression that most modern day OBDII compliant ECU's do not have an alternate "safe-mode" fuel/igintion timing maps made specifically if the MIL is tripped, but then again I maybe wrong. Also the decreased backpressure could relatively increase engine efficiency in hp and actually help gas mileage (when of course off WOT).

Kool, I'm seriously considering the Spoons exhaust system myself. Per chance, did you get to weigh it? I would like to see some comparisons on it versus the Muegen in terms of weight and finish. I've played with a few cat-less OBDII cars before, and the most effective means to turn off the MIL (and keep it off) is to reset the ECU ASAP....

I ask the spoon's infor
they say the engine check light suppose not to show
if the muffler is set up correctly(which I think I do)
then they say there are two O2 detector in the muffler
the light is on is because the circuit of detector is damaged

I didn't tell them that my S2000 is a USA one(in this way they will answer sooner)
So I am also thinking that because of the setting of computer in USA it may be different from a japanese one
here is the original massage from spoon (if anyone can understand..)

I have the Spoon exhaust too and tried to run CATless but the check engine light kept comming on even after I had reset it(cutting power to the ECU).
The only way I found to keep the light off was to put the CAT back on. Which is too bad because I liked it much better without it.
If you find a way to make it work let me know.
