Sorry, I was being stupid. Jacked up the car and they pulled right out. Again, thanks for the heads up about the spacers.

wow, about a month ago I changed the springs on my car and noticed them in there at 56k miles, and I was like WTH are these, puzzled and knowing thats not right just tossed them aside. And during my ride after the install,I was thinking these Tiens seem to ride better than stock. Now I read this today,no wonder the new springs rode better than stock....lol

So is it safe to remove them from stock springs? Or do you need to have a dealership do it?
(I will check mine in the morning)

Thanks to all for the heads up on the spacers. I checked and sure enough my 2008 has 'em. So, I don't want to sound stupid, but if I jack up the car do the spacers pull out easily or will I need to wrestle them out?
yea man very easy to pull out

it'd be funny if folks in ten years were reporting finding these things in their cars. Having said that, i keep telling myself that i'll check mines and haven't yet.

Gee. I haven't seen a thread like this in almost a week.

Not often I see these shipping blocks found at over 100,000 miles. I took mine out at 60,000. Car had 58,000 on it when I bought it.

I think the dealer only removes the ones that they can get out without removing the springs. They will affect your handling because they will not let the springs compress.
