i found one on the front driver side while installing my tein s-tech springs and thought that it had to go back in. well i was completely wrong as it made the driver side higher than the other so thanks to this thread, i immediately removed it. im at 47k miles, btw

I'm pretty sure I asked about them when I bought my latest S, and they assured me they removed them. Guess I should go doublecheck. That must be a really firm ride! There is one member of the Vintage Forum (who shall remain nameless) who left them in for two years. It's been an ongoing joke. I should show that person this thread to feel better. Wow.

I just checked my 2002 s2k with 55,000 miles on it and I found one on the front right!!!! I am so pissed!!! I am now wondering if it could of played any role in me wrecking my car a while back. Should I take this spacer out myself? If I take it out, will I have to get an alignment? If I took it to the Honda Dealership (not the one I bought it from) will they remove it and cover the price for an alignment if necessary for not seeing it after a dozen services done to my car?

I took the spring spacer out yesterday myself. I can feel a pretty big difference in handling around corners and going up the bump at the end of my driveway. I hope there was no damage done after 55,000 miles driven with a spring spacer still in the front left shock! Do I have more miles than anybody else that has found spring spacers still in?

When I picked up my car from the dealer, salesperson told me that all 4 springs had been visually inspected. I found 2 spacers during my first oil change.... duh~
