Found spring spacers in the front springs at 25,000 miles. Bought the car in 2006 and auto-x'd every other weekend.........changing wheels everytime and can't believe never saw them. Letting others autox my car, they always said my S felt "weird"

We finally caught them when I quit auto-xing and decided to throw on some Swift springs. We always talked about how dumb it was that they make these things in black.........they should be bright orange!

Just got my S2k a week ago. It's at the dealership right now, but I'll check for this issue when i get it back. Never driven one before so I don't know how its supposed to feel, but its a possible problem I want to make sure I take care of!

Thanks for the information!

Can you get to all of them by just removing the wheels?

You just need to turn the wheels to be able to see the fronts and the rears are visible as-is. 44K and no spacers...whew. I'm going to have to come up with another excuse for the 180 I did when the asphalt was wet...tires?

Just found 1 on the front driver side. 9600 miles, 1200 of those were mine. Looks like some S2K's are still rolling around with them

Just found one on mine, front driver-side. 70k km, full dealer service history (I bought it last month).

Found it when I was putting new tyres on and the tyre guy recommended leaving it in as "its there to stop your car hitting the ground, because your car is very low". Seems like its not only Honda dealers who get this wrong...

Took it out and didn't notice much difference, but I suppose after 70k km its pretty much worn out anyway

It's listed on the PDI thingy that hangs on the rear view mirror from the factory. It says "Notice. Maximum speed 12 MPH. Hard rubber spacers are fitted to the suspension to increase ground clearance. The spacers reduce handling performance and exceeding the 12 mph limit can damage the car. Remove all spacers at PDI (10 front, 4 rear.) Lift at jack points only." It's in several languages, and has a little S2000 picture showing jack points and spring spacer locations.
