I dealt personally with him...

I think part of the issue was that he had trust in this third party. Anything I said (even though I was a paying customer) was automatically suspect.

That sucks. I was thinking about a Spugen exhaust but it just looks cheap to me. The canisters and such look like something they got off Ebay and then made some piping up and put mugen and spoon names together.

Brennon, I'm an easy going guy, but when stuff like that happens, you have to lay the law down. I would have takin some action right then and there. Asked them wtf is up with this crap? Even though you want your front bumper, id be like the one on your personal ride would work just fine. Hope you get all that takin care of.

as I posted in the other thread ever since Duc left, I have been super busy trying to reorganize everything and make it easier for future transactions. No one has gotten scammed, and you have not paid for any merchandise that I have not sent you. We are in a hold pattern, where we are trying to make service better for future transactions. Its like when a company takes inventory, and no one can get anything from the company, same type of deal, but it will make transactions easier for the future. Sorry that it has inconvenienced some, like I have said in the past not everyone will be happy, but I try my best to make every customer a happy one. I sell alot of stuff personal, and business through s2ki and have many satisfied customers, and have had some bad experiences as well. Sometimes I take forever, sometimes I get stuff done in one day. Every scenario is different. If I have wronged anyone I am sorry for doing so it was not intentional, but to my knowledge I have not. as for your exhaust JanNov s2k , it was a fault on my part for not being responsive with you, hope you will consider us for future transactions. If not I totally understand. Like I said, give us a little time to put everything back to where it was and Spugen will be back in full force. Thanks for the support.

I have been out of town for the past week and a half so just a got a pm from someone to check this out. I am no longer with Spugen so I can not say much about your exhaust issue whether they want your biz or not.

However with Brennon, I had kept you in the loop the entire time we had your car with up to date status so for you to say that I kept you in the dark is not true. I always keep people updated. When the car was returned to you I sure don't remember seeing any dust inside the car let alone leaves. When you took delivery you were so happy and thanked me over and over. Now I get this post? Totally not fair... The entire car was taken apart from the door panels to the door handles to moldings. I wish you would have said something to me about this before instead of now. I could have handled it then quickly.

As for the speaker, I have no idea where to pick them up therefore I asked you to pick up a set, send me an invoice and we would reimburse you. I needed the so that I could claim it. Just like anything else you have to have an invoice of some sort to claim insurance.

Now with the bumper install. This is a very competitive industry as most of you may already know so it is not uncommon for one shop to put down another shop just to get your business. Now I am not denying that the shop used wood screws or not but you must remember you are having an aftermarket bumper installed so does it really matter if they are using a wood screw, a drywall screw, a zip screw, a metal screw, or a self tapping screw? As long as the bumper was installed and held I don't think it should be an issue. There were no gaps that I could remember between the headlights and the bumper and not weird fitment at the fenders. Not bad for a copy if you asked me. Again I wish you would have brought this to my attention sooner than later. I am known to be a fair man and stand behind my word and promise, just give me a chance.

This is very similar to a person who comes to work on time everyday but as soon as he is late one day that is what he will be remembered as, someone who is always late. I am not saying Spugen is perfect but we do try. We can't please everyone all the time but if you would do a search you will see that most are happy with the service 1000 to 1.

Feel free to pm me to discuss further.

Thanks for taking the time to read my explaination.

i for one have never heard of spugen. but for someone to take the two top names in japan and use them for his company...? sounds like a douche bag.
Dear sir you have been here 19 days and you are calling Spugen Douche bags? When we started out in 01 there were not many people out there that had much for the cars except for Spoon and Mugen. An exhaust was built and was taken to Church Automotive for dyno by one of the customers and it made 8 hp. At that time Shawn Church asked what exhaust it was and the customer simply shouted out Spugen. This was back in the S2ksocal.com days and the name simply stuck around the world.

Hope that explains it for you.

Duc, like I said man, I wasn't trying to bash you personally. I've always liked you and thought you were a cool guy.

I DID send you a PM initially. I listed the things that weren't right and what I did to fix it. I fixed the underbody of the car with some self tapping screws, I detailed the interior, put some gas in, etc. As for the color matching, as soon as I found that out I sent you a PM asking for the paint code. After you told me you would try to find it, I never heard back.

Yes, you always did respond to my PMs. Sometimes it would take several days to get a response, but you eventually did respond. You can't deny that you did have the inital pickup date pushed back about 10 times though, right? It was always "one more week". I don't necessarily blame you for that, as it is a third party.

With the spakers... yes you did tell me to go pick a pair up, ship you the old ones with the invoice. Honestly, for a $110 pair of speakers, it wasn't worth the time and hassle...as an aside, in the process of getting my car painted I suddenly found myself out of a job, so I didn't even want to be spending $110 on speakers when I didn't know when I'd get that money back or when I'd be finding a new job.

Yes, when I initially picked up the car things looked good, and I did thank you. I always tried to do my best to be as understanding as possible in terms of time delays. It was only afterwards on the drive home when I began noticing things. I know it wasn't you, personally that did it, but the whole cracked speaker thing was sort of shady. I think it's hard not to realize you broke a speaker and then just cover it up. Again, I'm not saying you did it, or it was shady of you, but the individual that was working on the car...

As far as the bumper is concerned...I honestly don't know what the proper tools are to install one. It's just what the body shop had said. Whether that's good, bad, or other, you guys would know better than me.
Yes the car was delayed but you were in the loop the entire time. At first it just sounded like you were kept in the dark with the delay and what not in which I felt that it was unfair. I was still with Spugen when we did you car so I can't imagine it took several days for me to respond. At worst case it would be overnight if the pm was sent late. My pms were on average two hours at most.

Body work is something I do not have much control over but we found a guy that can do the work at an affordable price in which we can share with the people on this board. We have done many repair jobs along with accident repairs and everyone has always been extremely happy with the end result.

As for the speaker, I have apologized for that many times, I can't say how sorry I am since I would never have known if the speaker was bad or noth without turning on your sound system. If I had known that at the time of delivery I would have removed it myself and turned it in for a claim. I know you live in SD and it was a pain but that was the best that I could offer. Many shops out there would have just simply denied it and said that it came that way. True? I still stand behind Spugen's customer service 5 years strong.

As I said I am no longer with Spugen and I am not even sure what Spugen's future is looking like anymore. Just hope that those of you who have dealt with us have had good experiences.

Thanks,

Duc

To be honest with you, this is the only reason I publically mentioned it now. I always liked you as a person and did not want to do anything to hurt YOUR business. I'm not trying to slander your reputation personally in any way.
