Im gonna be very honest with you here, Mike, the other guy in the vid, my right hand man for three years now, has tried over and over to get good vids of the 2JZ S2000, we live on an island here in Navarre FL, and the highest speed limit around is 55. So its been very difficult to get vids of the car doing cool stuff. And there is po-po EVERYWHERE!!! My liscense is too important to me, But Mike does'nt mind as much. So anyway, our Local dragstrip closed for the season 3 days before we completed the Beast, so no vids at the track, which is where i want the vids taken. But anyway, we have some half ass vids of street racing, and dash shots too, but they didnt impress me much so i didnt put them out there. Mike's a great guy, and a outstanding tech, but sucks with a camera bless his heart! So, if anyone wants to come here and drive my car and make vids, IM GAME!!! Seriously, im just too busy, and that car scares the SH-T out of me!!! PM if seriously intrested, KNOWONE UNDER 20!!! sorry, and youll have to sign a disclaimer too.
I'll be in for that!

Remember my name when I know on your door next year!

You should head over to Tate's Hell (only like an hour or so from your location). I think its near Hosford and Blountstown FL. There is a HUUUUGE straight just before you get to the coast (driving from Tallahassee). It is through a national forest, so not many people. Only downside is its a 2 lane road.... A buddy of mine got his Mustang with a built Cleveland 350 up to 180 before he backed down.....a few potholes made it sketchy.

I might be interested in the K swap, if the price is right. I just graduated from FSU with my master's in Accounting, and am going to start my new job sometime this month. I am also trying to sell my house in the next 3 months or so. I should have some $ to do something interesting....I was saving for a comptech SC, but I kinda want to do something more original...for those points at shows.

PM sent.

John

Try north of Crestview...Hwy 4 between Berrydale and Baker is good...Hwy 87 north of Milton too...as well as Munson Hwy.

If you want someplace really safe...look on google/yahoo maps for Hwy 87a just east of Jay. My grandparents have a farm at the intersection of 87a and Hwy 4. Go north on 87a from 4 towards Bruton...there are only a couple of farms out there, otherwise completely empty. I got my old M3 up to 155mph on that road shortly after I chipped to remove the governor.

Only thing to watch for are hunters, hunt dogs and deer this time of year.

Maybe ill try those spots, but id sure rather pay someone else to do it, i never have time, and i wasnt kidding when i said that car scares me now. It breaks tires loose in 5th gear at over 130/140. And its still got 6th gear to go. I hav'nt pulled 6th in that car yet. Anyone want to make a vid for me?? Anyone used to driving a s2 with that kinda power?? 741whp at 30 psi , Even with its short wheelbase its still pretty damn steady at real high speeds. PM if intrested.

Will do, thank god the trans output shaft is the same where it goes into the crankshaft through the clutch, i allmost hit a brick wall there, but you know how Honda does! Got lucky there, and the adapter i made at first was too thin, have to duplicate the adaptor again using thicker plate. No big deal, also still gonna be wednesday or thursday before i get the engine mount brackets back from machine shop to test. So far so good, ill keep you posted!! Happy New Year Everyone!!

Well, i agree with the I-VTEC being more advanced, but in the F20C's defence, with AEM EMS , a good tuner can duplicate I-VTEC with the F20/22, by retarding and advancing the timing through the coil packs, not the cam angle phasing.
Hmmm...it seems that the VTC would adjust the duration and overlap since it is continuously variable. I don't think you can achieve that with simple ignition timing changes only. I mean think about it...if the same result could be achieved by ignition timing only, there really would not be an advantage for VTC (or VVT in Toyota or VANOS in BMW...they all do about the same thing as VTC)...manufacturers would just use better programming in the ECU (which is a hell of a lot cheaper than fancy mechanical gizmos to adjust cam advance/duration/overlap).

if ur gonna swap anything might as well make it CRAZY

k series... eh been there done that, from hatch backs to mo peds. its the Bseries

SR20 again old news. anyone can swap that in.

a wankle engine... yeah its cool. but most S owners dont know how to properly maintaine one. all the seals and everything

now what i'm saying is, anyone can take a motor and plant it in a car. but if u got the money to spend and obviously u do.

might as well go with an old Ferrari or porshe engine. be really cool to see a flat 6 in there. hell to get in, but think about the paplisicity and what not. or matting an old ferrari V8.

no one does those things.

i just think the S2000 isn't a car u throw K series motors in. its a gem, an enthusiasts car. it should be treated like such with a quality, rare, never before seen engine swap.

2 cents.
