Thank you! I agree with everything your saying. I was really off on that weight difference huh? Wow, i didnt know that. Learn something new everyday! I agree with the f20c is allready tweeked out by honda right out of the factory. The k20 taking to bolt on's and k-pro, a definate proven good hp gains. I still want to proceed with this swap until i hear good reason not to, im not doing it to make big power, i did that with the 2jz, just simply want to see another s2000 swap. I think alot of s2000 owners would too.
The K20 has good support from aftermarket companies too, maybe not quite as good as the F20, but you can certainly build a much faster NA engine if you wanted too ... Here's another Hondata dyno of an RSX-S with Toda cams and a big valve head:

Good luck with your swap! Make sure to post up your progress

RSX 500lbs heavier than an s2k? I want to see that. Fairly heavily modded RSX's will run with or beat s2k's, s2k's make 190-200whp stock, modded rsx's make around 200whp stock, similar weight, RSX may have better aero's [s2k windshield is KILLER], similar gearing, and the RSX certainly has less drivetrain loss. Given what you said about your car, it may have 210whp on a good day. Based on what you said about the RSX which had more* mods, it probably produced similar numbers. Nothing magical there.

Horsepower is nothing without torque.. I don't mean to be one of those jackass physic professor want-to-be guys.. but that's a little missleading. The fastest cars in the world have a similar or worse hp->tq ratio than the s2k. HP is much, much more important in any racing condition than tq is, by definition basically. Every few months this is brought up in the clubrx-7 forums and the physics brains eat it alive. I could go on using examples of sportbikes etc. but won't bother.

k20 does rev to 8k, my friend conservatively has his set at 8650 on K-pro. Now if you are talking about the k24, obviously*** this is still not true. The BLOCK sets the limit NOT the head. 8k is the limit on those builds unless you go deep. I know 2jzs2000 already knows this if he's messed around enough to build a 2jz s2k himself.
Technically, your wrong, the block and the head set the limit, and dont think i havent built these motors before, i just finished a 03 civic hatch with 700+whp, it will be on my website on the 26th, see for yourself. www.fiftyfiftyracing.com , and the rsx i was talking about was beating me bad, i couldnt believe how hard he was pulling away from me, thats magical to me!!! I had invidia exaust $720 ,test pipe$110 ,and V2 intake $270, so $1000 in mods, the 04 RSX had $1300 K-pro, comtech ice box, $220 ,comptech headers and exaust $1000, so $2500 in bolt ons, with no cams or internals. What could i have purchased and bolted on with the difference of $1500 to put on the S2000 to pull by him?? BESIDES NOS! See my point now?

Again thanks for your legwork man, thats awsome!!! I love to see that right now, i hope everybodys understanding that im not knocking the f20c, the whole point of all of this is to find the next best engine, or even a little better. I think a fully built k20 N/A would kick ass in this car, and i cant wait to get one started. This isnt to prove anything ,its all for fun guys!

id like to see an s2k f20 or f22 stroked to the max and done in full NA trim. but thats just me. a k swap just doesnt sound that amazing to me. now swapping a b series for a k is all good. but i think the f20 is a great platform and putting in a k motor will be $$ spent for a small step backwards.

Sorry, i totally disagree. Your not getting it, this topic is telling everyone that im doing another swap in a s2000, telling me the f20c engine is the best for this car is old news to me, I agree, it is the best motor for this car. The question at hand here is what motor would be cool to see in the s2? What would be another cool swap to see in the S2000???

I work a lot with turbo and blown diesels'. I know there is a lot of power potential out of these engines. I know it would be a money eater but just think is someone took the time to build a diesel to rev the same as a gas 4 stroke. Think of the torque you could have. It wold be hard to find a 4 cyl diesel small enough to fit under the hood of a S, but if someone could make it work.... that my friends would be a stroke of genious.

i once saw a sr20 in a miata . with that light of a chasis that thing must be crazy fast. with our light chasis and 50/50 weight distribution it should be a great combo i personally like the f20c but i'd love to see sr20 since i was really into silvias before i got the s

Maybe you missed the part when i said theres nothing wrong with the f20c, all i heard from you is a bunch of 15 year old talk , just trying something different man, not trying to prove the f20c is junk. Lets be a little more mature about this, just trying to get feedback from the s2k community before i swap another one. Id like to give you guys what you want to see. Oh, and why dont you come pimp smack my s2000?? ....yeah.

way to promote Business.

"Oh, and why dont you come pimp smack my s2000?? ....yeah."----and im the 15 year old. thats a good one.
