I understand you wanting to do something different, but the F20 has the same displacement as the K20. Take a great engine like the F20 and put in different cams if you want more torque on the low end, don't swap in a new engine. You could easily build this engine, which flows better, to put out high hp numbers for less. No arguements here, I just don't see your reasoning. Either way, good luck
Actually the f20c parts are higher in price than k20, i checked alot of stuff. The k20A2 has the Varible Cam Timing, (I-VTEC) the k20 stock ecu can advance and retard the timing to create more torque,(mechanically) , the f20c cant do that, making it easier to spool a turbo, less lag, and more efficiant fuel consumption. Not knocking the f20c at all, its a very similar motor, looks like a little more technoligy went into the k20A2. It would be nice to see the S2000 share these benifits Honda created. Also the compression being 10:6 to1 stock, it wouldnt detinate so much as the f20's 11:3 to 1 compression. Again, not an arguement, just some things you might not have known about the (inferior) K20A2.

the NSX motor, not sure if there's room though
Theres room, but $$$$$$$$$$$ ouch!!!!! That would really tear up someones bank account. lets see, $8000 motor, $14,500 lovefab turbo kit, to be under 600hp, IM OUT !!!! That would be pretty cool lookin at a show though!

Why not do a nice NA F20C build?

There is probably a bigger market for built F20Cs than weird swaps into S2000s.

How about a skyline R-34 engine. RB26DETT. I am not sure the rotation and I know it is a big Bitch, (iron block) but think of the power you could juice off this beast.

I saw someone mention the NSX motor, Correct me if I am wrong, I don't think it would work because of the rotation.

The K20Z1 motor (the 2005+ RSX-S motor) is basically the K20A2 motor with the Intake and exhaust camshafts from the ITR motor in Japan (220hp, 152 lb-ft). Lots of potential from this motor, probably easier to get power out of it than the K20A2. With just Hondata and a CAI, the K20Z1 is putting down 208whp / 148 lb-ft according to a Hondata dyno ... http://www.hondata.com/dynok20-05rsx.html ... Not too bad!

IIRC the K20Z1 motor spins to 8400rpms (fuel cutoff), which isn't too far from the 9000rpm redline of the F20C.

I think dropping a K series into the S2000 would be very interesting. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Im lovin it! This info you just gave us proves the potential of the k20Z1 is good. 208whp with just k-pro and a cold air intake? Ill bet the torque was more than the f20c with both motors at 208whp. Again, not knocking the f20c, its an outstanding engine, but this k20Z1 is also, and the compression on this engine if im not mistaken was changed to 11:0 to 1? Lower than the f20c's 11:3 to 1. I think this would be a great swap, very comparable the the f20 and f22, an S2000 with K-pro, awsome! So 220 hp stock, i wonder what the torque #'s are at what rmp's, comparing the K20Z1 against the F20C stock for stock? And you still get to rev to 9k easy with K-pro!

I wouldnt mind doin this swap either, the power would be nice, the weight doesnt bother me, because the 2jz wasnt even too heavy, but as far as the power goes, the 2jz is kickin ass right now, 741whp on 93 octane, and i drive it everyday. But the RB26 wont push that much unless i dump massive amounts of money into it, thats why i went with the 2jz, cheap to replace if it ever blew up! And i think the ABS stuff all has to be re-located a few inches for the turbo to clear, remember, its on the opposite side of the motor. But im down for doin the RB26, just need to find a s2 with no motor cheap, or find someone that wants to do it.

Samo Samo Samo! Need something different, something new and good reason behind it. The f20c is sweet, but whats wrong with something better??
