um. Honda did that for a reason.

You can manage ALL of hte controls of this car without moving your hand off the wheel, which is why the volume is a lever. The start button is made that way so you can turn the car back on faster. It's a RACE CAR.

I dont know why im replying to an idiot.

Uhhh, no it's not. The S2000 is not anymore of a race car than any other sporty production car.

It's a sporty/sports car, and that's it.

Some of you guys need to spend time with a race car then you'd see how stupid it is to call the S2000 a race car.

How so?

It would make a BETTER race car than a Kia Rio, but really, the same steps are involved in making both race cars...

It would be nice to have key recognition system on our car, even as an aftermarket.

Like mercedes, have a credit card size transpondent and it recognizes it and sends codes to the ecu immediately when you're in certain distance, then all you have to do is push the start button once you get into the car.

that would be cool.

I hate the key near my leg. sometimes it's annoying when I'm turning hard in the corner, since it makes clingking noise and I'm thinking it's something else.
Even the new mazda turbo suv has the credit card type of key. A lady I work with got one. It unlocks when she gets close as long as the key is in her purse or pocket. Then there is just a knob to turn inside to start the car. Sounds pretty cool.

Um, it is a complete race bred vehicle. This car was not built with the intention of daily driving and only because of tweaks and changes from the factory is the car even capable of daily driving.

Complete !!!

What makes my '05 any more daily drivable than an '00? A minute amount of extra torque? The softer rear suspension? The tighter front suspension? The extra vinyl over the tunnel?

REAL race cars experience tuning changes from one race to another greater than some of the changes that the S2000 experienced from '00 to current.

If you really believe the '00 isn't as daily drivable as any other stock S2000 you are smokin' some really good sh!t!

how did you get the idea I was comparing different years? Obviously the way Honda originally created the car is not what we are driving today, both you and I know in its original incarnation, it was undrivable on a daily basis.
