steering lock removal: 5 years ago some semipro a88hole thief wrecked my steering column and cost me a fortune to fix. Since this is an EU 1973 legal requirement now covered by the electronic immobiliser, maybe someone out there has removed the bolt from the steering lock, much less repairs if there is an attempt. If so any experience to pass on? Or am I crazy to rely on the immobiliser and/or alarm as sole defence?
