Steering problem?
I have had this weird steering problem with my '00 since it was new... I was wondering if anyone else has felt it too, or has any insight as to what it may be.
When I am driving about 45mph and am in a very slight left turn (5 - 10 degrees) I try to straighten the steering wheel and experience a slight sticking sensation in the wheel. It does not do it all of the time which makes it difficult to troubleshoot (the dealerships think I'm nuts).
It is most noticeable on a nice, smooth road at above speeds and direction, but I have felt it at slower (5 mph- hard turn) and faster (75mph - highway lane changes), and it also occasionally happens coming out of a right turn too.
If I drive it for an hour or 2, it will happen 6-10 times and has a very subtle feel- like the steering sensor is not feeling me turn the wheel, so I have to nudge it a bit harder to turn.
Any thoughts???
Thanks,
Jasonr

Wide performance tires, domed roads, ruts in roads, the way the S is designed= sometimes feeling that "stickiness". It is normal.
This is what I was told by my service rep. I even had the tires alligned. It worked for about 3 to 4 thou miles then the same feeling. I notice it especially on the highway at speeds excessive of 60 mph and in the right lane (slow lane) makes sense, thats the lane more traffic drives in = ruts in the road, wide tires catch on those ruts.
