odd steering resistance at very low speeds?
At very low speeds (<2mph), usually maneuvering for parking, I have encountered rapidly varying resistance from the steering wheel when doing fast turns. I've never felt it at higher speeds, or if I turn the wheel slowly.
It's obviously the EPS alternately overboosting and underboosting the steering as I turn it. It's never strong enough that it makes the wheel hard to turn, but it does feel very strange. I searched but didn't find anyone else who'd posted anything on this topic.
Has anyone else experienced this? Should I be worried?
As a side note, I have felt a similar thing, though much weaker, under similar conditions, in my 2007 Camry Hybrid, which also has EPS.
