Default Sticker on S2000 Body Question...

I am about to aquire a Spoon N1 Exhaust, and would like to put the Spoon Sticker (Crane or Swan, dont get mad if thats not what it is) above the exhaust exit on the rear bumper. 3 questions.

1) Should i fear putting on the sticker in regrets that it might pull off paint when removed? And what are steps to removing a sticker that has been on the body for a while?

2) Are there any steps to do before washing the surface clean before applying a sticker to the body of the car?

Any help would be apprectiated. Thanks in advance.

I will soon be selling my '02 and getting an '03. When I get my '03 I will be adding mods such as exhaust, CAI, etc.

I have a question for you and the other guys that add the stickers and advertise the products you installed. Why?

This is not a flame, just a question.

Its just my experience, that when you feel you have a product that is respected by others and like their logo, I will "floss" it. When I had my 94 DC, i had a full bomex kit and bomex logo on the hood and since Spoon is such a respected tuner, i will proudly put a sticker of there's on my AP1. If i dont like it, i can take it right off. Im not a fan of the people who get body graphics or that get stickers of everysingle tuner and list it on there hood or door. But a Spoon, Bomex Logo, here or there couldnt hurt. Thats my 2 Cents.

Put a fresh layer of wax or polish on the area first before putting down the sticker - helps with removal later.
If trying to remove old sticker, heat it up with a hair dryer or hot water bottle, then get a corner or edge started and peel it off slowly. Clean the left over residue with WD-40. If you have a hard time getting it started, CAREFULLY use a new razor blade nearly flat on the car's surface to get under a corner of the sticker. Get just enough up to grab it with your finger nails. Remember - a very light touch with that razor blade.

Trust me the Spoon sticker isn't too sticky so there shouldn't be any problems.

Stickers are fine but if you really feel like doing it right you should simply go to a local import ecal/sign shop and have them cut you one out of car vinal it will last a lot longer and is better for the paint, I had huge racing stripes on my car of the 2 ml vinal and it pulls off clean it just takes some time and you have to be carefull that you don't rip the sticker.
