I had the tires and stub taken off my wheels last night because I'm getting them powdercoated, and I weighed the front and rear wheels (without balancing weights).

The front 16x6.5 weighs 18 pounds.
The rear 16x7.7 weighs 19-20 pounds.

Pretty hefty for 16's. I believe Racing Hart's CP-O35 16 inch weighs < 11 pounds.

They have 16x7, 16x7.5, and 16x8. Last time I called the wholesale office, I was checking to see what offset they make and the guy told me they had 45mm in state and if you wanted higher offset, you would probably have to special order them from Japan. They run about $450 a piece I think.

ITR and I also weighed the rear stock total with tire (41 lbs.) and my rear TE37 18x8.5 with Toyo Proxes T1-S (38 lb.). Not bad for a street setup. My rear 18x8.5 TE37 weighs 17 pounds, but then the wheel is forged alloy.

unicron-
i like those cp-035's, and have been keeping an eye on prices. last week, i ran across a set of 17" for $700 on ebay. i emailed the seller to ask 'what gives, i thought these were more expensive?' he replied that racing hart had recently come out with a new cast version of this wheel. so, any potential buyers beware, make sure you know what you're getting before forking over the money. i should add that i couldn't confirm at racing hart's site if they indeed do have a cast version. to see the version on ebay search for 'racing hart', they'll come up.
ps. could you post pics of your powdercoated wheels when done? thanks.

Unicron,
Did you have any trouble finding a powdercoat shop willing to do aluminum wheels? I could only find one place in town that would do it. Apparently there is a risk of some alloys becoming brittle after they're baked in an oven. I find it hard to believe that a 400 degree oven will have much of an effect.

S2Kguy,

It's 19.5 lbs with an error of +/- 0.5 lbs. Haha.

I can't do much for you dude...my bathroom scale doesn't have many denominations and is not accurate.

Guntersmurf,

The place that I called did not ask me what type of alloy it is (which is not a good thing). I'll call to double check before dropping them off tomorrow during lunch.

There is a couple places that did ask me what type of alloy, and they will do it...I just picked the place mentioned above because of location.

Thanks,
