I got my '00 for 10k with 60k miles on it. The bank priced it at 12k.

$14k-$15k is the amount you should get, fight this.
First I like to say sorry to hear about what has happened to you! Second I would just like to let you know that I paid $18,000 July of 2012 for my Berlina Black 03 S2000 and it had 49k on the OD From Balise Honda I just traded it in with 58k on OD and Balise Honda has it listed now for $16,999 West Springfield Ma. So if the insurance needs to see what a Honda dealer is selling AP1's for there you go and mine was not as clean as yours. Good luck and I wish you the best. PS by the way Balise ended up giving more money for the trade in than the insurance is trying to give you what insurance are you with? All S2000 owners should boycott them!
tell them to show you the cars priced at the amount they are willing to pay you. IF they can find the same car with nearly similar mileage, you want to buy another at their pay out price.
My wife's car (different car back about 20 years ago) was totalled and the insurance agent said they would only pay $4000 for the car. She said great, where is this car as i really liked it and will buy another. Agent said about 3 hours away. She said great, we'll be in the area on the weekend and we'll visit the dealer to purchase it. Agent said...um, ah. He was lying.
Insurance sent a cheque for $6000.
good luck

Well I talked one of my insurance ladies that come into my shop. They said no one goes off of KBB especially insurance companies and banks. They go off of NADA and according to nada that is pretty much the dead on price of it if it is a 2001. What we pay on the streets for our cars is a 'supply and demand' price, they arnt going to pay us that.
