Is it just me, or does anybody else think that covering your car with a plastic film seem wierd? It reminds me of people putting plastic over their couches in the 70s. I guess it's great for those who show their cars and have to protect a million dollar paint job, but it just seems a bit over-the-top for me. MHO.

To those people that keep saying there must have been something wrong with SCS2ks lenses beforehand since this has not happened to others.

HOW do you know??? Is there someone who keeps statistics on the number of problems occured. If it happened to the s2000 community which is small, and the number of people who used stonegard, even smaller, how do you know if many others havn't had the problem and remained silent or had the dealer replace them?

I agree with most....Stohn-gahrd (done want to violate any copyright laws) has done more damage to themselves than they can imagine.

Suddenly, my small stone chips on the front of the S look so much better

I agree, I think it was a poor decision and poor choice of words. Should have had attorney send a message instead.

The application of the product was done through a dealer, so the dealer is the first responsible. Therefore the dealer should take care of replacing the headlamps, as he has supplied and applied the film.

If it turns out that the product is faulty, the dealer should himself deal with the company that supplied the product.

Ridiculous to claim that it should be under Honda warrantee!

Why does the dealer of the product seem to go scott-free???

In the Netherlands (where I originally come from) the one that sells the product to you is responsible for everyting by law! The dealer can than claim at his supplier in case of product error. The consumer should never be in between. I can't see why the producer is directly involved in this whole mess. Although it does give everybody a good view upon how things are (mal)handled...

BTW
My advise is to pound the lights with a hammer when it starts to crack if you have the extended warrantee, since only impact is covered!

The policy as described by the manufacturer is bull sh!t.

What exactly did the dealer use to prep the lights? I may be wrong here but didn't he initially not want to involve "the company"? Interesting.
