i would check the auto tensioner. Take it to honda, the only problem you will have is with the duplication of the noise. I was getting a ticking noise with full fluids, it drove me insane. It would happen at random times, cold, hot... whenever. It almost sounded like I was a little low on oil. I could hear it mainly when I would pull into my garage.... Anyways, I ended up talking with some of the mechanics at the honda dealership about the problem... couldn't get it to duplicate the noise, it was very unpredictable.... the head mechanic replaced my auto tensioner and the problem was solved

No, no, don't wait till something bad happens. That's not what I meant by my post.
You need to chase this down. Do some experiments so you can come back and give a more detailed description of what's going on. It's heat expansion and contraction, it won't stop just because you've reached "3 bars" on the temp gauge unless you aren't listening for it as closely by that time.
Try all kinds of stuff. Take note of when it does it .........................
-just sitting idling
-while rolling
-speed?
-in gear, rolling in neutral, clutch in, clutch out
-coincide with rpm or road speed
-using brakes, not using brakes
-etc, etc.
These things will assist you and those reading this forum to track down what it might be. It's hard enough over the interent to diagnose problems, but the worst and most difficult are "noise" issues.
