I have the Comptech. If it does anything (other than look pretty), it makes the car understeer a bit more.

No, it serves mainly as a bling factor.

i think it does! helps limit the body roll

between driving my car and my friends car with a (strut bar) i can defitnatley feel the difference
what youre feeling is a simply a stiffer chassis. its not really body roll. the effect gives a more direct feeling of steering which i can imagine being confused with less body roll.

some cars do need it. especially those with macpherson strut suspension. thats why theyre called strut tower bars. we have double wishbone, so its not so much a direct effect to keeping suspension in line. but still affects chassis stiffening between the engine bay. i certainly feel the affect in my crx, that does have double wishbone as well.

however, as mentioned, honda already designed a pretty beefy crossbeam just ahead of the engine. i pretty much trust that for providing enough chassis stiffening. so i can understand ppl being in disbelief of its effects in a s2000. i havent used a strut bar on my s2000.

what does surprise me is the unanimous response that the subframe brace on the s2000 is so effective. i thought they designed the subframe already to be ultra stiff. i guess there can always be room for improvement and am willing to try it myself once a more reasonable priced brace comes along.

If you can "definatly" feel a difference your just kidding yourself; its called the placebo (sp?) effect.

It makes next to no difference what so ever. It MIGHT shave a hundreth of a second of your track time which is pretty much nothing. The general concensous is that it just for looks and something to lean on.

Get the 20 dollar one if you want one.
