Actually, if you look at only what he posted (48mph in 2nd), he would have to have about a 5.3 FD. I think there is something going on here that he's not aware of or not telling us. Even with the commonly available 4.77 FD, he would get more than that speed in 2nd. Until he goes out and checks it out like I posted, we will never know and we'll just be beating around the bush.

this explains it i did not have 3 bars it was right after i pulled out of my neighborhood seems to get better as the car warms up but still can only hit around 56 and no there is no yellow box i checked

So, in other words, when you made this statement:

You didn't know what the heck you were talking about. You gave the impression that your engine reached redline. This would mean that you saw it get to 9000 rpm, which obviously, you didn't. By not describing your situation in detail, you made a whole bunch of people step into a thread to try and explain something based on what they believed was you reaching REDLINE and not getting to appropriate speed.
This COLD REV LIMITER is one of the most fundamental characteristics of this car. Had you described your situation more accurately, it would have been concluded without all the speculation and guessing that has transpired.

oh shit, just went out and looked closer and found a box very similar to that but it was red and partially hidden from view. so what does this mean?
