This shouldn't prevent you from giving details like the fact that you had just started the engine only minutes before or what the rpm was when it supposedly got as high as it would go. Had you provided this information, it would have been resolved in the second post.

Yes as long as you reach the above stated speeds in second you should be okay. You think yours is short, check out an AP2 s2000 (2004+), we have even shorter gearing 1-4, its fun though =)
