Survived 1st trip to the Dragon
Just curious since I haven't 'Done the Dragon'.. I usually keep it to 6-7/10's on the street, and don't feel it's safe pushing much harder on public roads.
How hard do the groups tend to run it together (1-10/10's)? I realize when it's individulas it varies too much to really put a number on it.
Thanks.

Until this past Saturday I had not even had the car in VTEC. I had not exceeded the speeding limit for two weeks. Don't like the chance of other drivers doing something stupid.
I do have to say that I did possibly exceed the speed limit this past weekend
.
Actually not by much at times. Especially on Hyw 28. The speed limit is 55 and there are some very nice sections of curves that allow for a hard in and out to the next curve...Just watch out for the "rollerbladers"....still can't get over that they were just rolling along in the middle of the road.
On the Dragon I felt very safe especially since you have very little chance of someone pulling out in front of you. I picked my moments and went at a little harder and kept it moderate for other areas depending on traffic.
I would never drive this way on any other public roadways. The dragon seemed to be as controlled an area as you could get outside of a track situation.

Any west coasters with Dragon experience want to weigh in on the run? Is it everything it's cracked up to be according to our eastern brothers and sisters?
I remember seeing a web page about it once, anybody have the link? I've forgotten how long it is, etc (50+ miles was it?)

[QUOTE]...."We don't have to go back the same way to get to the hotel, do we? I said with a loving tone "Yes honey we do, why is something wrong?" She said she was tired. That tired turned into something else when about 1/4 way into the Dragon heading south on 129 my wife said..."Pull the car over."
Have agreat time this weekend. Maybe we can set up a wife parking area sort of like womens fashion stores do for the husbands. My wife actually parked me in Ann Taylor this evening and they had a nice couch and TV so I was set.
