I remember reading an article in one of the UK road tests.

It said they drove various Stooks that were set up for different countries. I am sure that in the article it implied that the only cars the hacks crashed were those set up for the UK!

Does anyone have any more information about different settings for different countries?

I have been told that those were simply development cars. A knowledgeable (although not infallible) source says they are all the same in production except for the type-v.

Yes but the question is still the same - what were the different settings and more importantly what was the best setting. In the UK journalists seem to be obsessed by cars haning to oversteer. Has the car been set up to please the hacks over and above the best possible setting?

Actually I think the UK journalists are simply obsessed with European cars regardless of traits.. but to each their own.

The car has a slight push up to a point and quickly goes to neutral and then oversteer. Some love it and some find it is too quick to transition. I really depends upon your line and how you apply power.

I found the oversteer came on quickly enough that I was being too cautious in some turns. I have since gone to a larger front sway bar and I like the handling better with more controllable oversteer.

The journalists tend to be all over the board evaluating this car.. seems that a lot of them have preconceived notions of what it should be. I suspect most do not get enough seat time to fully understand the strong and weak points, or maybe don

I have found that during the winter months the oversteer has nearly caught me out on a couple of occasions. Not when I was driving hard or fast but in "normal" traffic when lesser cars have seemed to cope much better .... Perhaps it's the tyre thing .... ?
