Default suspention question

just me trying to cut cost's to save for my FI . but here's the question.

i wanna lower my S...

But 1400 is just abit painful to spend (i was looking at tein flex). so im wondering if im able to just replace my stock spring with new lowering springs. drop maybe 1/2 in to a inch or so. without compromising the smooth ride. or atleast not like im driving on gravel all day.

My reason for asking is, I had a civic for my first car, and I put new lowering spring on it, and the ride went from some what bumpy (94' ftw lol) to unbearable.

I will be searching around as i post this also.

thanks all!

Yeah you can definately do that, it just depends on how low you want to go. Swift Springs (Bulletproof sells them for $280) are pretty much the best springs made and drop the car about 0.8" front, 1" rear. It's a pretty modest drop but everyone I know who has run them loves them and says the ride and handling actually get better.

Hmmm sounds better then 1400 for tein flex . and " It's a pretty modest drop but everyone I know who has run them loves them and says the ride and handling actually get better." sounds pretty good.

You can do it, but remember the stock shocks were not ment to ride that much lower. I rode for awhile on lowering springs, then went to true coilovers and Koni shocks. The ride is not as smooth when you lower the car.
