switch to mobil 1
I switched to Mobil 1 at my 6,500 mile oil change it really seems to have mad a difference, the engine runs much smoother. Mobil 1 can be a bit pricey, I purchased a case (6 quarts at $3.99) at Costco (Shopping Warehouse) for $23.95. Friday I was at Wal-Mart shopping and saw that you can buy a 5 quart jug for $17.88. That is $3.58 a quart. I know that it is a small savings but it beats the heck out of the $5.00 per quart at Checkers and Auto Zone. I will be buying my synthetic at Wal-Mart.
I've used Mobil1 Synthetic for the last 4 years in all my new cars... if the C5 Corvette, all Porsches, BMW high end cars, Benz and Viper come with it from the factory, I'm sure it's a MUCH better oil than the dyno oil that comes in most cars..
Out of curiosity, is anyone here running Redline 10w30 in their S2000? I've run nothing but Redline in my other vehicles and was considering running it in my S2000 once it passes 6000 miles which when I plan on using a synthetic. For my first oil change at 3750 miles, i'll probably use Mobil drive clean oil or Honda super premium oil and a Mobil 1 oil filter..........
