Tail light recall - are we getting one?

I already did a search and found no hits within the past two weeks for "recall tail light" other than the thread started in Toronto. I have heard lots of people complain about fading but have yet to hear about a potential recall. So- are we getting one in the states? Anybody get a letter yet?

Another search turned up info that this recall is in place int he states for MY 2000 only. Who can confirm?
