AP2 FTW lol.
But seriously test drive and make up your mind, i test drove both the AP1 and AP2 and i just like the looks of the AP2 better. As far as drag racing i have heard of people braking the dif. so you might want to think of that as the dif is expensive

+1.

You're doing it wrong. If you have the money to keep 2, E46 M3's why not sell one and add a real vehicle to your stable? Ducati 1098 or Yamaha R1, Busa or ZX-14? Your cars will suddenly seem as slow as a civic!

Come to think of it, why do you need 4 cars <$30k?

Sell them all and buy an Enzo, that's what I'd do.

Like someones said before "Took my dog to the vet to get neutered, they call it the AP2 conversion, still looks the same but the balls are gone."

I just like to have a variety of things that I can drive.

This is an old pic. The m3 on the far right now has a full csl kit and puts down about 310whp. My gti has a big turbo which puts down low 400's. I love it to death but I'll admit fwd sucks. As far as referring to the smg as an automatic I suggest you guys drive one first to see what it is.

^^^I suppose you're shopping for a S2000 in Silverstone.

Nice car collection...I dislike automatics, so +1 for your comment on the SMG. Although I still prefer the manual.

x2 ...no question ...9k is way more fun than 8...and thats what our cars are all about "fun" ....ive driven both as well and to me an ap2 feels like my car at 80% ..its dumbed down for the "market" ...ap1 is not !!!
its the same car with a driver. At least with the ap2 u dont have to rev it to 7k to move out of its own way.

Well any set of gears will tromp on an AP2 off the line and low end so $500 on top of an AP1 and will feel like it has lots more torque than an AP2 and accelerate faster from low rpm's.

I'd wait and get one in Silverstone.
Matches the rest of the stable.
