I haven't driven an ap2 but owned a 07 si so I know the dead throttle feeling I'm lucky though I purchased my ap1 with an ap2 trans so I guess I got the best of both worlds
, it also has all the ap2 exterior goodies except tail lights and a CR lip
for a measly 10 grand

Wow, no way. You let off the gas in the Si, it bucks. Hit the gas in be Si, it bucks. Tap the pedal, a response is hit or miss. It's so slow and painful. The rev hang and poor transmission are the main reason I sold the car and couldn't wait to. They were just awful.
I'm sure most people wouldn't know an AP2 had DBW......,but I'm sure there are those who will swear they know the difference instantly if they weren't told. The throttle response has zero delay.
My friend bought an 07 Si around the same time I got my 06 S2000. We've driven each others' cars multiple times and I can absolutely tell you the Civic DBW is garbage. Nothing like the S2000.
AP2 trannies are slightly less notchy when cold and less prone to grinding. But there's not a huge difference if your tranny is in good condition. I've had an 03, 08 and now an 00.
They're almost bolt-on, I think you need to update the output flange that connects to the driveshaft.
