Test Pipe?

Everything has to come to a end, the world is always changing, we can spend the rest of our lives not using test pipes and missing out, just to have a commet hit us at age 50 and wipe everyone out.
some of you guys take this shit too seriously... consider the next time you go to a concert or walk by a bunch of smokers, you're doing far worse to your health and others than putting something on your automobile. no need to be anal about a pipe...

You should print out your comments in this thread, put the printout in an envelope and lock it away. In about 5-6 years take it out and look at it. You will be embarrassed by your own comments and attitude.

Worst thread ever!!
Oh, and for those bagging on us for ALL driving sports cars, remember there's a difference between gas mileage and emissions. Lest you forget, our beloved S2k's came from the factory as LEV's, correct? So with a cat, it's not like we're gross polluters
.
Some people complain you get only 2 HP max, and those same people drop $1500 for some JDM intake that you could get at autozone... I have a test pipe, and to be honest, the smell doesn't bother me. My Amuse is loud enough that I dont even hear the test pipe, but the weight gains overall (Amuse + TP) are nice. The stock cat is heavy. Just do it already!

But I am starting to consider mostly for the weight savings.
But I gotta smell it first, so anyone near Philadelphia have a S2000 with a test pipe wanna meet up sometime soon??

Ok ok, I guess I should have seen all these politics coming. I really just wanted pro's and con's of a test pipe from an automotive perspective.
We all know that removing a catalytic converter is bad for emissions/environment. But I'm sure most if not everyone here is old enough and mature enough to be able to make a decision if this will influence their choice or not, and it is very doubtful that anyone will influence someone's opinion through this forumn.
So please, please, pleeease keep the rest of the comments more factual about how it effects that car. Instead of arguing whether or not to kill the ozone, lets argue whether or not the smell of not having a cat is livable/embarrasing/enjoyable, and topics like that.
