Testpipe causes misfire?

One thing that noone has asked ........................................
Does your avatar mean that your car is blown? If so, we could be dealing with many other factors and variables that have not been discussed.

No sorry for the misunderstanding that use to be in my previous car. My car has intake/header back exhaust.

I am not offering any advice, so please do not do this unless someone else who knows offers an opinion! What would happen if he reset his ECU.

I believe he has done this (more than once). If the misfire condition exists, the code will trip over and over again. Resetting the ECU merely turns off the CEL and lets the ECU go to its original default settings, but as soon as it sees a fault, the code will activate again.

Yeah and usually it goes off by itself but then it comes back on again like XViper said. I'll jut work on getting a cat and take it a recommended dealer down here in miami where a couple of other member were able to get work done disregarding their mods. Thanks
