Default Thank you Lucid

Sunday night I placed an order for rear speakers and panels. Lucid informed me that evening via e-mail that he expected to ship my speakers on Friday 11/22 and that I'd have them on Monday.

Today, three days early and two days after I placed the order, my speakers arrived. What service!

After dinner, and my son's homework, we went into our favorite part of the house to install the new speakers. We only had one and a half hours to do it because my son is only 8 and has school tomorrow. Bedtime was coming quickly.

Thanks to Lucid's instructions the install went smoothly. Everything was where it was supposed to be and fit exactly like he said it would.

We didn't have time to go for a ride, but we listened to a cd in the garage and wow what a difference. The sound is great.

Thank you Lucid. If anyone is concerned about ordering from Lucid or concerned about the install, do not worry. It is a pleasure to do business with merchants like Lucid.

I just got mine yesterday. Everyone is laughing at me because I am not handy. Actually I just pretend not to be handy so I get out of doing things around the house.

Hope I can do the install. My next door neighbor is an auto-body guy so I can always fall back on him if I screw up.

I'll let you know if it's as easy as advertised.

I ordered my rear speaker set last wednesday from Lucid. I was
cheap, had them shipped ground, they arrived yesterday.

I got back from walking the dogs at 12:20, installed the set
(I am NOT handy -- my original plan was to pay an auto shop
to do it for me), and I was on the freeway trying them out
at, um, elevated velocity by 3:20.

Two notes: I pulled the passenger seat to make it easier
to install the speaker wire (4 bolts, 12mm and 14mm), and
I pulled too much speaker wire to the back of the car. This
made it impossible to plug the harness into the stereo
head unit while the head unit was out of the dash. It wasn't
hard to fix, but it did slow me down a little.

Instructions were impressively simple. I remember installing
stereos back when I was in high school -- it always seemed
like we were screwing around with this or that, nothing ever
ended up looking stock. This install looks stock (when the
seats are slid forward), and you can't see it at all normally.

Nice job, Lucid.

I installed the 3 way kenwoods (from Lucid Kenwood 1387 I think) in the rear. I also installed Kenwood 1687s in the doors. What a difference. With the stock head unit it sounds great.

I installed them yesterday (about 1 hour). I had my friend the autobody guy help out. He actually did the install but I think I could have done it. The hardest part was getting the stereo cover off.

I got the Kenwood 3-ways. Sounds better (more volume), but I keep the seats all the way back. If I fade to the rear it sounds muffled. I have it 50:50 and it sounds pretty good.
