However, keep in mind, if you argue this point and demand to take your car to the dealer, the replacement cost will likely total your car. Honda does not sell compete seats. They have to be pieced together(and never look as good as from the factory) with a cost of around 3000-3500 per seat. Throw in 750.00 for a replacement top canvas, then ten hours labor for replacement @ the dealerships rate of 101.00 an hour, thats 7700.00.
Your car will most likely be totaled.
Hope this helps.

Thanks man! I guess they can only total your car if the repair exceeds 75% of value, I found KBB and NADA price is about 14000-16000. Lets say the actual cash value is 13000, I doubt if they have a good reason(10K plus loss) to total my car.

Thats not true. It can range from 40% to 75%. They would not be taking a 10k loss. If your claim comes to $7000.00, well, they're out seven thousand. If they total your car out they will pay you between 13k and 14k. They would probably leave the title clean, and the car will bring five to seven grand at auction. Either way it is not a $10,000 loss for them. Oh, I also forgot about the labor in putting the seats together. Add another six to eight hours there.

P.S. I'm not trying to be argumentative, it would just really suck to see such a nice low mileage S get totaled and go to auction over some missing seats.

From an accident in a previous vehicle I owned, the insurance wanted to go to their garage of choice for repairs. I told them I wanted the repair done at the dealship, and they agreed. My argument was that my car was in excellent condition, the accident was not my fault (wasn't even in the car), and that I don't want any imperfections with the fix.
However, this was me arguing with the person at fault's insurance company. Not entirely sure how it is trying to win a battle with your own insurance company, but I am pretty sure they have to take the car where you want them too. However, your location and the fact that it was theft might influence this.
Sorry for the loss man, and good luck.

Did you get your agent involved? I think you have a choice of money or telling the insurance company that they must find the seats for you. They can pay less or more, but they have to be as good as what you lost. Go talk to your agent and ask him/her to go to bat for you.

This was the dealer estimate that I received in July. Needless to say, my S2K was totaled.

omg!
...and they only have the starter button in stock...whatta shame. But your starter button is intact! wtf?
You should keep it, and throw some recaros in it + hardtop.
