I had some IDIOT back into me.........in a drivethru!!!!!

We had both already placed our orders and were waiting to get to the window. All of a sudden I see his back-up lights come on. In the split second I saw them and reached for the horn....wham!!!

Who the hell backs up in a drivethru? Dumb-ass!!!

He gets out and says "I didn't see you". I said "Your'e an idiot". Not much he could say after that, so he didn't.

Does anybody else have problems with people trying to run you off the road or getting in your lane and almost hitting you because apparently they can't see you?

lol...maybe they are trying to run me off the road on purpose or something.
They see you just fine.

I hate to be the bringer of bad news, but people are dicks, pretty much all of them. When you get out of their way, you're just encouraging them to continue driving poorly. The best course of action is simply to obey traffic laws. Assume right of way when you have it, yield when you don't, and use your horn to warn of impending collisions.

Let the other driver worry about explaining to the officer or judge that he was merging into an occupied lane, running a stop sign, or going straight in a turn only lane and that you should have moved because his vehicle is bigger.

I had a woman in a mini van turn left, from her parking space at the curb, immediately in front of me. She was trying to make a u-turn, but what with holding a cell phone to one ear, and sawing on the steering wheel with the other, I guess she didn't figure it was worthwhile to look for oncoming traffic. I stood on the brakes, blasted the horn, and stopped 8 feet from her right front door. She didn't even see me until she started to back up! Then a casual wave and on her way. Whatta dope.
I'm convinced our S2000 is invisible and I drive it like it has a bulls-eye on it.

Jeez, you guys should be happy you don't own an Elise. All their owners talk about is how invisible they are. Those things are like half the size of an s2k in like every dimension.

Happens all the time. I hope someone hits my front bumper so it can get repainted (I drive responsibly and out of people's blind spots, as we all should. I had the same problem when I drove my CRX, people are just blind)

Happens about every other week for me. Mostly men driving Expeditions, F950's et el..... I lay on the horn (hold it down, for as long as I can), which yeilds no results, and hit the brakes due to the dolt driving, is still coming into my lane.

Whats scary is when ppl try to merge into your lane and there is nowhere for u to go. A truck tried to merge into my lane so I laid on the horn and tried to brake but there was a car behind me and I couldnt swerve due to a concrete wall. Thank god he saw me about an inch before he hit me and swerved........

You think the S and the Elise are bad. Spend more than 30 minutes on the back of a motorcycle and you will really feel like you've got a cloaking device on.

I actually don't think larger SUVs and trucks were the problem when I used to ride regularly... I think their added height to some extent helped the visibility. (maybe offeset somewhat by the tank mentality). But, what really scared me on a bike is the SUV or minivan with both front passengers on the phone, watching a movie on the flip down LCD or playing with the NAV/PS2/Xbox while driving. Not joking, seen it.

Driving has sort of become the hobby you casually dabble in when getting from A to B while you return messages, catch up on the Sopranos DVDs, figure out all possible routes from your house to the supermarket that don't include circumnavigating the earth and beat down some hoes on GTA3:SA.

Wow this soapbox got tall /jumps off.

last week i had a school bus almost run me over coming head to head.. i was making a left turn where i have a turn signal before the main lights turn green.. my light turns green and he starts coming and never stopped.. i even honked. if i didn't step on the gas, i would've had no front end or passenger door. even the guy behind me had to swerve to the right to avoid him.. bus driver must have saw the turn light on his side turn green and decided to go!! being that he never stopped even when i honked, makes me think he didn't stop on purpose thinking that I tried to jump the light to tunr before he could go...hmmm!
i didn't know what to chalk it up as .. blind driver/bad driver or jackass
