The thing keeping me from buying an S2000
Thanks for the flames guys...I guess no one understands what I am asking so nevermind...hey minboost..screw u and the bubbley carbon fiber hood you sold me. I had to cut the latch off b/c it would latch down. Nice quality parts man. Anyways, hey, if I got the credit and can make the payments anything is possible.
I think the answer to your original question is no, Spoon parts won't help you from mis-shifting and overreving the car.
The shifting mechanism in the S2000 is among the best in the business, but it doesn't have any safety lockouts, which means you can shift in any gear at any speed, except reverse. Honestly (please don't take offense to this) if you don't think you can handle a manual car, the S2000 isn't for you.

I have a question here. I noticed this happen in my first S2000 and now in my 2nd. I hit about 8000 rpm in 1st gear and (I'm assuming it's the rev limiter) kicked in and my engine made a sound and I lurched forward as if the engine was disengaging or something. Now I know I'm a dumbass because this is my first sports car so I'm learning as I go, but is this normal? I didn't do anything weird, it just lurched me when I hit about 8k.
