Default For those with beater daily drivers...

Do any of you have a hard time passing your S on the way to the beater in the morning before going to work? Sometimes I will just sit there wondering if I should take it out or not. It's been raining like crazy here in Florida the passed couple of days so it hasn't been that hard of a choice.

Anyone else?

The way I feel about it is that my S should be used for fun driving, and not mundane daily commuting where I might be stuck in traffic etc. So, to answer your question, no.

Trust me, I would love to drive the damn thing. The problem is when you sometimes drive 100 miles a day, you would rather put it on a car that doesn't require as much maintence (TIRES) as the S.

You have no idea.. I always try to reason in my mind why i could take it. but im with the other guys, The S is for fun driving. No work, no drive that i could be leaving it alone for an extended period of time etc. Sometimes I'll take it in on a sunny friday. Sometimes....

My S stays in a locked metal building 95% of the time. I have driven it to work a few times. In the summers I ride a scooter for the mileage and an 85 Volvo 245 wagon in the winter and rain.

Yea, its tough, but feels so nice to know the S doesn't have to encounter traffic, park close to someone else, and the gas savings are awesome.

And, it makes coming back to the S so much more fun.

My daily driver is parked outside. Everyday instead of leaving through the front door, I leave through the garage just to think, when's the next day I should take her out.

Just a little rain? I wish in the midwest we only had rain. Right now we have ice, snow, and a ton of salt. I need it to warm up and rain to wash all the salt off the road before I get mine out again.
