Default For those who have cleared their headlights

I had a few questions regarding headlight modifications:

What is the high beam bulb size?
Does it need to be adjusted for alignment?
Does it have to be changed when I open up the headlight?
What's the best bulb to match with the HID projectors? (not too blue, and not to yellow)

Do I need to realign the HID bulbs when I don't take the ballast out to cook?

Thanks

Check out the smoked/clear diffuser installation instructions at: http://www.ricks2k.com

It has all the info you need on bulb sizes.

I did not need to readjust my headlights, YMMV.

Does what have to be changed when you open up the headlight?

really dont have to change anything on the inside (yup i know i should be running orange turn bulbs instead of clears, but i like the clear bulbs with a smoked lens!)

Not unless you put it out of alignment.

I agree 100000% that the clear bulbs look much better than orange; my headlights are clear USDM Diffusers with clear bulbs and I couldn't live with myself if I put orange in there!

Curious about the interest in having the high beam match the low [HID] beam. Who's gonna actually *see* this masterpiece of matched hues? If you have your high beams on, and are travelling towards someone that would be in the vantage point to notice the matched color (in other words...oncoming traffic)...aren't you blinding them with the high beams on?

If you're looking for something closer to HID-color/crispness for your own vantage point inside the car (I too can appreciate that the stock high beams are a large tad on the yellowish side ) there isn't much that we can change that *really* matches HIDs anyway. However, APC offers a replacement highbeam hyperwhite that is at least a cleaner white when the highbeam is activated. More lighted distance is thrown in front of the car. But again, it doesn't offer that matched crisp white of our HIDs unfortunately.
