The Timeless Question: Modding and Warrenty
Have asked this one on many forums, including this one a year ago.
Does lowering your S2000 (with say a Tein coil setup) void any warrenty in addition to that of the springs/shocks u remove? Will Honda give you something in writting saying your in the clear? thanks, Mike

It's weird, because Acura is coming out with some hi-po parts that are warranteed, and when I paid Acura to put my Comptech parts on my TL-S, they warranteed it in writing!
Acura is a sportier marque, the S2000 is the odd-man out in a group of sedan people haulers, secretary cars, and SUV's.

If you allow Honda to deny all warranty work, because of suspension changes, then you are a sucker. Fight back people! The law is on your side. Sue them, call the media, contact the AG or other State agencies. They can't void warranty work like that. Call SEMA. Ask for their advice.
For the umpteenth time: A warranty cannot be voided because of a mod. A claim can be denied, and probably will be if the fault is anywhere near the mod but you can still fight it and the onus is on Honda to prove your mod caused the problem.
So, in answer to your question, mods don't void warranties, they just make the process of warranty claims a tad more interesting.
