Default Tints for the 01 s2k

I have 2001 silverstone s2k and i wanna get tints on it but since the back window things isnt glass i didn't know if it could tint it. Cause it would look werid to have the 2 doors tinted and the window thing clear. Does anyone have any suggestions or the same problem.

Jimmy.

I'm giving this thread a bump. I'm interested in how that would work as well.

I tinted by back window using "static-cling" tint that I purchased at Home Depot. Came out good and I can remove it at any time. It also protects the rear plastic window.

You can tint the plastic window same as you would your house windows--with static cling tint...it has the added bonus of keeping it scratch-free as well

[Edit] Looks like s2k1xlr8's a little too quick for me

I actually have just the two sides tinted and not the rear plastic. I kind of like it that way since I bought my car used the plastic wasn't in great condition (it's "good"). I can see out of it now, but I think with the tint it might be hard at night (when it's already hard to see!)

thats the nice thing about the static, if you dont want it anymore, you can remove it without having to worry about permanent damage!

Doesn't the static tint go on the outside?
I went to HD a while ago, and was reading the label. I believe it said something to the effect of "not for plastic windows", and that the only reason why I have steered away from this minor install. Please correct me if I'm wrong here.

I've done it. Been on for over 18 months.

It goes on the outside window.

It definitely protects from scratches.

Window folds better when lowering top, often without creasing.

There have been no adverse effects to my window.

The tint is easily removed and replaced.

Highly reccommended. Looks great.
