tire pressure gauge
i have a digital bluepoint air chuck/pressure gauge that reads tenths....but that might be overkill for the non-mechanic since it was like 70 bucks from the snap on guy
I prefer gauges and the ability to see pressure at points finer than a single psi, like tenths of a psi. I also prefer gauges with a rubber hose to get a proper fit and with a bleed valve. And I prefer analog to digital - you can see immediately if you've seated the gauge properly.

When I said points finer than a single psi, I'm good with halves, but this does tenths too.
