which tire sholud i get...?
my knowledge of tires is "none."
so far, many people suggested me for bridgestone s-02 and s-03.
but, what really is the best tire i can get? (for 17 inch wheels)

For 16s or 17s Yokohama AVS Sports are nice (I have them.) Also for 17s, Goodrich Comp T/A KDs are very decent. They'd probably be my tire of choice if they came in 16s.

so... uh... what are those numbers mean?
say... 205/50-17... i know 17 means the dia. of the rim...
what about 205 and 50?
and... does
205/50-17 for the front and 255/40-17 sound good?
fender clearance wise and handling wise?

205/50-17
205 => 205mm in width
50 => aspect ratio, as in the thickness of the tire is 50% of the width, therefore 102.25mm
17 => 17" in diameter

Click on the TireRack link on the sponsor's list. They have a lot of good basic information about decoding tire sizes, speed ratings, temp and traction ratings, aspect ratios, etc.. You'll get a better education if you spend a little time there.
